Alex Yes, I do weddings almost in the same way. I'll post a D3s wedding later this week. However, even if you do get acceptable shutterspeed/aperture combinations inside dark ballroom-type of light, it's not pretty. So I'm in the process of learning a new type of flash/available light balance. It's not so much about the quantity of light anymore that would force you to use flash. Since, if you can see it the D3s can capture it without flash. It's much more about the quality of light. So sometimes - even if you could get a shot at f5.6, 1/100th at 25.600 ISO, f5.6, 1/100th at 1600 ISO + flash can produce a much nicer image. It's a bit like avoiding the "high-ISO fallacy" Cheers Frank
